Bungoma National Polytechnic Announces Successful Candidates in 2026 Students’ Union Election

Bungoma National Polytechnic has officially released the list of successful candidates following the 2026 Students’ Union elections, marking the completion of the institution’s democratic process for student leadership.

In a notice dated February 4, 2026, the polytechnic confirmed that Emmanuel Wanyonyi Musibulo was elected President, with Willmond Kwemboi Chebo securing the position of Deputy President.

John Adhuu Hussein was elected Secretary General, while Prudence Naliaka clinched the Finance Minister post.

The newly elected cabinet also includes Kelvin Wanjala as Education Minister and Walter Walumbe Wabwile as Health Minister.

The Sports and Recreation docket will be headed by Emmanuel Khamala. Maxwell Wafula Juma was elected Male Representative, while Scovia Barula Ombeo will serve as Female Representative.

In the special representation slots, Efumbi Wekesa Stenley was elected PWD Minister, Keiza Josky Odhiambo emerged as Male T/C Representative, and Whitney Auma Odongo was elected Female T/C Representative.

The results were authenticated by the institution’s Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Chairman Matwetwe Isinta and approved by the Dean of Students, Hannington Situma.

Both offices appended official stamps and signatures to validate the outcome.

The polytechnic administration congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to uphold integrity, inclusivity, and accountability as they take up leadership roles.

The newly elected Students’ Union officials are expected to assume office immediately to represent student interests and work closely with the institution’s management.
